Job Title: Symbian Platform Test Manager
Section: SW
Status: Employee
Job Summary:
Manage Software Verification Execution in DUC for designed competence areas. Manage test leaders for several global test projects as well as Test Competence Area Leaders. Cooperate strongly with Software Project Office, Test Development Office and other Test Execution Unit.
Essential Job Functions:
-Resource Management
Fulfil resource requests from software project office
-Interface Management
Global Software Verification Coordination
Support the coordination of software development activities in your area with peer line functions in other Development units.
DUC Software Project Office Coordination
Work closely with DUC Software Project Office to ensure that DUC software development activities are optimally organized at all times.
-Quality Assurance
Support QA functions to understand customer problems, help solve SW problems quickly and establish SW development processes to ensure quality.
-Organizational Definition
Responsible for continuously maintaining a simple and clear organization for the group
-Competence Management
Drive build-up of Software Development Competence in designated area, both in terms of individual growth and organizational maturity
-Operational Development
Plan, define, provide and develop processes, methods, equipment and tools for projects and line activities, secure commonality, alignment and reuse with PBU and within DUC, define and setup communication within DUC and with other units.
-Governance
Set up steering meetings and forums, and establish management, control and reporting systems.
-Team Development
Establish role, allocate responsibilities, set objectives, provide daily coaching, guidance and feedback, motivate, discipline and reward.
-Other Tasks
Fulfil other relative tasks assigned by manager in accordance with business needs.
Qualifications:
Master Degree in Engineering or above
5 or above years’ experience in SW verification at a technical company
Able to speak, read and write fluent English and Chinese;
Strong understanding of SW development issues, leadership.
