went with the link, of all the image files on that site, the best was the one from the boy!
i am surprised this class could turn out a boy like this.
if i were you, i would send the boy to an artist graduated from
art school of california. better not from chinese art schools.
the reason? you go to any art schools in china, look at the home works from all students they look so much a like because they all copy teachers.
at college level, it is a lot better these days, but the damage was done in early days.
sketch is a very important technique, but do not start to early because that would turn the logics totally mechanical
if taught by wrong teachers who think technique is art.
you send childrens works to any country for contests, no one ever would award based on the technique but purely based on talents and thoughts
that does not mean you do not need to have techniques, but you could always start that later, or to have very experienced teachers who know how to combine the courses between techniques and talent cultivating
one more thing: just because you do not want him to be an artist (who does in this country) does not mean the time he spent over this is waste.
top college requires more than top academic scores: multi-talents are required.
not to mention, i personally think both sides of the brain kinda
help each other if you develop them from early days, if you pay attention to the german education and their system.
and, if you want your kid have a bit "class", art and poetry would always help when mingling in "high society"
