here is how i can tell if a company is well managed in master production control planning:
if they are willing to pay for consignment inventory just to get out of their customer rushing order, that indicates they have they current production slots all filled with well planned optimizations.
if they don't, it means they are not very clear on how to optimize their production capacity slots
just so happened, the two manufacturing enterprises i have been to are both in customzed configuration production biz, not in standardized mass production biz. thus i do appreciate your inputs.
