Lin is highly overrated because her experienc provided best material for gossiping (BaGua). She is a very talent and pretty woman, but there were many woman in her time had these qualities, too. Bing Xin once wrote a very sarcastic piece on Lin called "our lady". Bin was apparent jealous, but it was a good one.
