Card issuers may also impose a daily max on your cash advance. Of course, nothing is free. There is typically a 3% cash advance fee, which is $240 in this case assuming the daily max is higher than $8,000. On top of that, there is also currency exchange fee at about 3% if you take cash in a foreign location. If you are not paying your balance in full, you will also pay finance charge (interest), which can be as high as 18%. And this is typically higher than you purchase APR since it is deemed riskier. So called risk-based pricing.
