but hey were all translated from japanese school of it
frankly, it is simle as it appears on the surfase becaus ethe americans would have to overcome the cultural differences that chinese/asians grow up and exposed to what not otherwise available to non asians
what i began with were
"taking the path" with zen by robert aitken
"endless vow, the zen path of soen nakagawa" by eido t. shimano
"zen dawn" translated by j.c.cleary
"the essential teaching of zen master hakuin" translated by norman waddell
once i began read the chinese version, i could comprehend more and thus respond more to what was already in the deep down from within
we are to dicover the other side of ourselves from within
but whatever works. zen study is something from within, so whatever helps to may be all different to all
