Follow the flow, it is not the end of world, it is sure not the end of US. When dow was 13000, every one was bull, when dow was 11400, every one was bear. In June 1999, dow was 11300, nine yrs later, it was 11400. Nine yrs 100 points? Meanwhile, house price doubled, oil 7 times higher, food at least 3 times higher, so does the gold. So we are going back to dark age? Rome was not lost in one night. So far, I can't see any other country can really compete with US yet.
